Meet the Cincinnati Food Tours Team

BarbFM2017

Just as it takes a village to make Cincinnati a popular travel destination, it takes a team to make Cincinnati Food Tours. Over the last six years, we have gradually assembled some of the most knowledgeable, passionate, and fun food lovers in town. Here’s your chance to get to know us a little better.

Karen (back, left) helped plant the seeds for Cincinnati Food Tours in 2012 when she was the Resource Development Director for the Corporation for Findlay Market. She understands the ins and outs of the market, but her specialty these days is our Wander Walnut Hills Tour. Karen lives in Walnut Hills and has watched the neighborhood evolve. She knows the history, the people, and the culture, and she helped design the tour to tell the story. When she’s not leading tours, she’s working at the Civic Garden Center, traveling the world, or donating her time to a worthy cause.

Nicki and her husband started purchasing neglected buildings and rehabbing properties in Over-the-Rhine before it was cool. She lives downtown and uses the Cincinnati Bell Connector regularly so she’s a natural to lead our Taste the Streetcar Tour. She’s also working on our new Beyond the Market Tour.

Renee loves to show guests around her own neighborhood of Over-the-Rhine. She’s the one to talk to if you want to know the best dinner spots or what menu items are trending. She helps with our Signature Over-the-Rhine Tour and our Sweet Stroll. And she loves a good glass of wine!

Anne fell in love with Findlay Market as a shopper and volunteer. You might run into her working her way through the aisles or enjoying a sunny day in the Biergarten. She enjoys leading The Original Findlay Market Tour when she’s not teaching elementary school in Ft. Thomas.

Kelly (2nd from right) is so much fun! She’s a star when it comes to our Signature Over-the-Rhine Tour. She and her sister have built Cooking with Caitlin and CWC, the Restaurant. Kelly knows food, restaurants, people, and OTR so she’s a perfect match for Cincinnati Food Tours!

The newest addition to our team is Linnea who works part-time at Market Wines at Findlay Market. She is an experienced guide, has traveled extensively, and has hosted foreign exchange students in her home. She grew up in Cincinnati but in a home where German was spoken. It’s obvious she strives to keep her heritage alive and to share some Gemütlichkeit throughout Over-the-Rhine. Look for her on The Original Findlay Market Tour soon.

And, of course, I’m Barb. I do a little bit of everything. I map out the routes, arrange the restaurants, choose the samples, do the research, juggle the books, and lead most of the tours. I love what I do!

If you can imagine yourself as part of this team, contact us. We’re always interested in talking to people who are passionate about Cincinnati, food, and fun.
