Exploring Wyoming, Ohio
We’re spreading our wings! From the seeds we planted at Findlay Market in 2012, Cincinnati Food Tours has grown to include Over-the-Rhine, Walnut Hills, Pendleton, and Mt. Adams, all neighborhoods concentrated around downtown. Now we can say that we have officially expanded our options to include a tour in one of Cincinnati’s surrounding suburbs.
Last September, we launched our Wyoming Walk: Food + History Tour. Led by Cooking with Caitlin’s Kelly Trush, our inaugural tour was an experience to remember. We were joined by 14 guests, eight of whom live in the city of Wyoming and all of whom wanted to learn more about this quaint residential neighborhood. They were able to not only get up close and personal with the folks at Station Family + BBQ, Wyoming Meat Market, Wyoming Pastry Shop, and Cowboy Cones, but to also enjoy hearty samples of freshly carved brisket, hand-dipped ice cream, wagyu beef burgers, and warm-from-the-oven pastries. Kelly’s sparkling personality made it easy for everyone in the group to feel comfortable. With each introduction, we understood a little more about why Wyoming is such a desirable city in which to live. From the random conversations with residents along the sidewalk to the ice cold lemonade waiting for us at the 19th century Gideon Palmer house, we have never felt so much at home when exploring a new-to-us neighborhood. Thank you all for the warm Wyoming welcome!
If you’re ready to check out the ‘burbs, join our next Wyoming Walk on Saturday, March 14 from 12-3 pm. Space is limited, and you must sign up online to reserve a spot. And one more thing…Come hungry!
