Introducing Our Newest Tour: Wander Walnut Hills

We’ve been asked more than once, “What’s next after Over-the-Rhine?” “What Cincinnati neighborhood will be next to burst onto the culinary scene?”

We think we may have found it in historic Walnut Hills, one of Cincinnati’s oldest hilltop neighborhoods located next to Eden Park and not far from Xavier University. Like so many urban areas, Walnut Hills has seen its ups and downs. But buildings once vacant and neglected are springing back to life. Led by the Walnut Hills Redevelopment Foundation, community leaders are formulating a plan to enhance the quality of life in this diverse, walkable neighborhood.

Amidst the restored and promising buildings in Walnut Hills exists a mix of neighborhood restaurants, bars, and specialty shops. Our newest food tour will introduce you to five of our favorite places during the casual 3-hour Wander Walnut Hills tour. Our stops and samples will vary slightly, but each tour will include visits with two old friends: Fireside Pizza and O Pie O. Both of these businesses got their feet wet at Findlay Market so we’re excited to show you how they have evolved from seasonal part-time vendors to full-time brick-and-mortar locations.

We’re introducing our Wander Walnut Hills with two Thursday dates next month: August 11 and August 25. Tours will be offered from 1:30-4:30 pm and led by Karen Kahle, local resident and one of Walnut Hills’ biggest supporters. Join Karen to get the inside scoop as we taste our way around Walnut Hills.

Groups are limited to 8 guests per tour. Click here to reserve your space for our inaugural tour.
