What a Birthday and a Newsletter Taught Me

Last month I had one of those birthdays that ends in a zero. Since most of my friends had already reached the milestone, I wasn’t obsessed with the number. However, I gifted myself more time for Wordle, walking, wondering, and wine in the coming year. :-)

One thing that keeps me young is trying to make my business better. How to connect with new customers and finding new ways to connect with past customers are two things that are always on my mind.

My favorite newsletter comes from Chenmark, where every issue causes me to think. In a recent Chenmark newsletter, I was reminded to keep the Cincinnati Food Tours’ name front and center. But about more than just marketing and the Rule of 7, the newsletter also reinforced the importance of continuous repetition of company values.

Support local. Be authentic. Build relationships.

These are our values, our pillars. Chosen in 2012 when Cincinnati Food Tours was born, these three simple statements embody all that we are.

With each Cincinnati Food Tours experience, we promise to SUPPORT LOCAL, BE AUTHENTIC, AND BUILD RELATIONSHIPS. When was the last time you revisited your personal and/or business values?

Cheers to another year!
